(NYSSMA, NMEA, Extra-curricular involvement, Officer, Committee Chair/ Member, etc).
Virtual Ensemble Recordings/ Flipgrid Recordings: In the same way that live performance is vital in an in-person setting, video recording is necessary throughout the school year in a Remote Setting. There will be no alternatives; video recording is an important part of a Remote Setting in this class. See the FlipGrid Recording page under the Parents/ Students menu for more information.
Sectionals: In a Remote Setting, sectionals will be pre-recorded lessons, outside of class time, which will require turning in a recorded assessment. Students will have ample opportunity to complete the assignment. There will be 2-3 assigned sectionals per marking period. Again, see the FlipGrid Recording page under the Parents/ Students menu for more information.
Students studying privately are still required to attend sectionals.
